App and Game Publishing
We offer two separate models: for games we act as the publisher under a written publishing agreement; for business apps the app is published in your own account, in your name.
In short
Maybe Digital's app and game publishing service publishes independent developers' games on the App Store and Google Play from its own developer accounts under a written publishing agreement, and helps businesses open their own developer accounts and get their apps live.
Technologies and tools
- App Store Connect
- Google Play Console

FAQ
If you publish my game, who owns it?
The developer keeps ownership of the game's IP. We use the publishing rights for the term and scope set in the agreement, and how the game is handed back when it ends is also written down.
How is revenue shared?
Revenue from the stores and ad networks comes into the publisher account and is shared with the developer under the terms of the agreement. We send revenue reports regularly.
Can't I just publish with a personal account?
You can, but personal accounts show your own name as the developer on the store. On Google Play, new personal accounts must also run a closed test with testers before going to production. These rules change, so check the current App Store and Google Play rules.
Can you publish our finance or health app from your account?
No. For apps like these, Apple and Google expect the app to be published by the business that owns it. Instead, we help you open your organisation developer account (including the D-U-N-S number), then prepare and publish the app on your behalf or take over its maintenance.
What happens to the game when the publishing agreement ends?
The agreement sets out how the game is handed back to the developer. Since the developer keeps the IP throughout, the game can move to their own account or to another publisher.
